CenCal Health is the Medi-Cal Managed Care Health Plan for Santa Barbara County's low income residents. Medi-Cal ensures that children and adults with limited income and resources can receive medical, mental, and behavioral health services at little or no cost. CenCal HEALTH members have access to services addressing mild to moderate mental health challenges and substance use.
The Central Coast Treatment Center for Eating, Exercise, and Body Image Disorders offers a collaborative, holistic approach for adolescents (13 years and older) and adults. We support individuals to reconnect with themselves in a new and more authentic way.
CFRS is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) under the umbrella of the Santa Barbara County Education Office. We have three programs within our department:
Welcome Every Baby/Family Connects (WEB/FC) is an evidenced-based community-wide nurse home visitation program for parents of newborns and is inclusive of all income and socioeconomic levels. The visits assess maternal/newborn health and psychosocial status, provide parent education, and lactation support and a warm handoff to community services.
Health Linkages provides dental screening, oral health education and fluoride varnishes to low-income children in targeted subsidized preschool, childcare and elementary school programs in Santa Barbara County. The orthodontia program also provides braces for middle school youth in specific communities and schools.
Health screenings and social support services are offered to early childhood education and care programs. Access to health care is made available to community members of all ages through Medi-Cal enrollment and health navigation assistance.
Santa Barbara County Promotores Network operates under the CFRS department by providing staffing and infrastructure support to connect promotores with agencies and programs designed to support and advocate for healthy communities through outreach, education, policy change and linking resources. They are Spanish speaking members of the Latinx community who understand and respect the traditional beliefs of their community and help agencies integrate these cultural beliefs in their programs and services.
CommUnify offers a variety of education and support services to promote the independence of families and individuals.

Domestic Violence Solutions (DVS) for Santa Barbara County’s mission is to provide safety, shelter, and support for individuals and families affected by domestic violence and collaborate with community partners to raise awareness regarding the cause, prevalence, and impact.
DVS is Santa Barbara County’s only full-service provider of 24-hour emergency shelter and services for survivors of domestic violence. We welcome all survivors regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or citizenship status.

Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara County’s transformative programs provide underserved youth and families with solutions to immediate needs, along with essential tools for increased long term self-sufficiency and empowerment. We are committed to providing mental health services where they are needed most: in the community. Eighty percent of our services are delivered on school campuses, at community centers and in clients’ homes. During the pandemic, we have transitioned to providing the majority of our services via Telehealth. Our programs combine clinical expertise, bilingual and bicultural staff, and close collaboration with other nonprofit, educational and government organizations. Services are provided free or on a sliding-fee scale with no one denied access because of an inability to pay.
For the past 30+ years, FTI has provided affordable counseling on a sliding scale fee basis for individual, couples, families, and children in Santa Barbara County. Fusion Academy is a fully accredited middle and high school with a specialized focus on Social-Emotional Learning and Academic Mastery. Students experience personalized instruction through our 1:1 classroom model. Students can enroll full time, part-time, take classes for credit, or tutoring. Our homework cafe is a space for students to thrive socially, while receiving support on study skills and executive functioning.
