Gateway Educational Services provides assessment-based tutoring for K-12 students, college planning, and educational summer camps.
We strive for academic excellence and rigor in all our programs. Our goal is for your child to achieve and develop academically, through excellent teaching, modeling and thinking outside the box. We use assessment to identify challenges in reading comprehension and or math. We then prescribe a program for improvement.
Don’t wait for homework to become a problem. Most teachers agree that students that do not successfully complete homework assignments fall behind. We can help students learn to be more organized and complete their assignments.
We provide tutoring and help with:
- Math (Fractions, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry and Pre-Calculus)
- Writing (Term papers, writing projects)
College Readiness Program:
- Conquer test anxiety with timed drills and exercises to improve confidence
- Teach students to work effectively with the reading comprehension sections of the ACT/SAT
- Review key vocabulary and grammar used on the ACT/SAT including the new SAT
- Strengthen essential math skills in the areas of Algebra 1, Geometry and basic operations
- 1:1 tutoring sessions and small group (6-8 students)
- We get to know students and their learning styles – no cookie cutter approach to learning
- Guest speakers to empower and inform students, research colleges, college planning
