SAFTY is a mobile Crisis triage and crisis hotline for all youth in Santa Barbara County up through the age of 20. SAFTY provides quick and accessible service to families by providing specialized crisis intervention, in-home support and linkage to mental health services, follow up post crisis and working in collaboration with the child’s existing service providers, SAFTY seeks to keep youth and families safe in their homes and communities.

Santa Maria Joint Union High School District operates four high schools located in Santa Maria, California. Currently, 7,800 students are enrolled in this district.
Our behavioral health providers treat the entire family. We offer a full range of behavioral health services and have a comprehensive clinical staff comprised of psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychiatry, and Substance Abuse Counseling. The Santa Barbara Alliance for Community Transformation (SB ACT) collaborates WITH and FOR the marginalized populations of Santa Barbara, to addresses issues from homelessness to trafficking to under-resourced neighborhoods, while actively working for the betterment of their physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health needs.
Work with teens who have been referred by the Santa Barbara Unified School District. Workshops teach teens (and adults) how to deal with their surroundings in positive, healthy ways in order to reduce violence in their schools and communities.

The WELL is SBCC's Student Health Services Wellness Program that provides workshops, group counseling, skill-building groups, and events around mind and body health and wellness. Student Health & Wellness Services provides registered SBCC students with Personal Counseling, Crisis Intervention, Alcohol & Drug Support Services, Community Referrals, and Medical Services. All SBCC registered students(including dual enrollment high school students) are welcome to attend The WELL workshops, groups, and events.

The Santa Barbara County Education Office provides a wide range of programs for youth ages 0-22, including special education, college and career readiness, programs for youth at-promise, instruction in juvenile detention facilities, and child development. Our office also provides services to the 20 school districts within the county’s boundaries.

A local community coalition dedicated to saving lives and preventing opioid misuse through expanding public education and media outreach, enhancing opioid surveillance, preventing overdose and promoting Naloxone distribution, promoting safe disposal practices, encouraging early intervention, and expanding treatment access and recovery throughout Santa Barbara County.

Santa Barbara Transgender Advocacy Network (SBTAN) offers: support groups for transgender adults, teens, and families of trans youth; trans affirming trainings for organizations and schools; local events and community activism.
SBUSD has an intentional focus on creating and maintaining positive learning environments that value relationships, equity, and social-emotional growth. We aim to offer early and ongoing support to students and families using the Santa Barbara Unified School-Based Mental Health Services Referral Model. We also offer district virtual wellness resources and opportunities to encourage students, families, and staff to practice self-care in collaboration with community partners. Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara provides scholarships to eligible students from Santa Barbara County for college, graduate, and vocational school education.
Special education programs are available to all eligible students with disabilities, ages birth to 21 in Santa Barbara County. SBC-SELPA is a joint powers agency that provides oversight, guidance, training and support to member local education agencies (LEAs), parents, guardians, and the community related to identifying and providing compliant, best practice Individualized Education Plan(IEP) Services to students with disabilities.
