FamiliesACT! is a grassroots organization of individuals and families with lived experience of Santa Barbara County's mental health and criminal justice systems, working to create fundamental change in county policies and practices that contribute to the neglect, abuse, and criminalization of persons with mental health and substance use disorders. We act as a catalyst to educate and guide Santa Barbara County decision makers as they address gaps in our continuum of care and improve access to services. Working against the criminalization of mental illness.
