For nearly 75 years, the Mental Wellness Center has been building hope for individuals and families, providing support in recovery and raising awareness of mental health within the Santa Barbara community.
The Mental Wellness Center provides mental health education to local students, a residential services program which safely provides a home to more than 100 community members across seven residential sites, and serves individuals & families impacted by mental illness through support groups, employment services and social connection programs like the Fellowship Club, an on-site social day club and safe space with resources for those living with mental health challenges.
Mi Vida, Mi Voz (MVMV) is an initiative of Hospice of Santa Barbara focused on collecting information about community resources in five basic categories: Health; Basic Needs (food, financial support, housing, legal); Mental Health; Children & Families; and Seniors. The initial emphasis was health and basic needs information during COVID-19. MVMV ensures the information is bilingual, accurate, and relevant and partners with trusted networks of community leaders to ensure this information is disseminated through methods already utilized by the Spanish-speaking community.

New Beginnings Counseling Center offers youth, individual, couples, groups, and family counseling in both English and Spanish. Services are available via tele-health and in person at our center in downtown Santa Barbara. We can provide therapy to all ages, including elementary school-aged children. Our current wait time is typically one week. We provide low-cost counseling services on a sliding scale and turn nobody away due to an inability to pay.

Youth, young adults, and families in high-risk environments that participate in our services experience greater safety and well-being while they work toward the future. Our staff work alongside those in need to provide case management, education, life skills coaching, counseling and much more all free of charge.

PathPoint's Counseling Center therapists provide confidential counseling to assist you throughout the many stages of your life. Highly-trained, licensed therapists and supervised associates provide individualized, strength-based services. We support children, adolescents and adults in managing and reducing symptoms more effectively, strengthening life skills, and integrating into the community. PathPoint contracts with a number of insurance options (CenCal MediCal and referrals from The Holman Group) and also accepts private pay.
Pathway Family Services addresses the needs of foster children by providing safe homes, counseling, resources, and education for both foster children and their resource families.
PEP Groups are a great place to meet other families with babies the same age, dealing with the same issues, sorting through some of the same challenges, and experiencing the same joys that come along with new parenthood. New parents are welcome to come whenever you are ready.
