The New Beginnings Center has provided mental health care since 1982, with a long history of somatic approaches to treatment with a collaborative team of talented clinicians. New Beginnings was founded and has always been owned and operated by licensed mental health care professionals, understanding our clients’ needs as the best guide to treatment. The center offers a wide array of services to help our clients on their path to recovery from anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, body image issues, eating disorders, chronic pain, and beyond. In a supportive environment, our clients build tools and resources to promote deep and lasting healing.

  • Somatic Experiencing: A body-oriented approach designed to help release trapped nervous system arousal and physical tension caused by trauma.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): An evidence-based framework focused on helping clients manage difficult emotions, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
  • Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM): An advanced trauma-informed therapy used for complex PTSD, severe dissociative disorders, attachment issues, and deep wounds (often beneficial for military veterans and their families).
  • Cortical Field Re-education (CFR): A movement-based practice aimed at restoring natural human movement and reversing physical compensations formed during trauma.
  • Creative Expression Therapy: Uses artistic mediums to help clients release emotional and physical tension stored in the body.
  • Play Therapy: An evidence-based, developmentally appropriate approach primarily used to help children process emotions, build communication, and work through challenges.
