FreeAs a parent, discovering or suspecting that your child is engaging in self-harm can be frightening. You may feel lost and overwhelmed, wondering what it means, how to approach the topic, and how to support your child effectively. This FREE one-hour webinar is designed to equip parents, guardians, and caregivers with the knowledge to understand self-harming behaviors in teens and provide guidance on what steps to take if you are concerned.
We will explore:
- Rates of self-harm among adolescents and its link to mental health struggles such as anxiety and depression
- The common functions of self-harm for teenagers and what it may signal
- Warning signs that your teen may be self-harming
- Practical strategies to foster open, supportive, and nonjudgmental conversations
- How to guide your teen towards healthier coping strategies
- Professional resources to help you navigate this challenge
