11th Annual School Wellness Summit

Administrators, teachers, school health officials, child nutrition staff, school board members, parents and health and wellness community partners are invited to the 11th Annual School Wellness Summit on October 23, 2024.

Join school wellness experts and gain valuable knowledge, tools, and resources to help transform schools into centers of health and wellness. The annual School Wellness Summit is the main forum to bring together school communities to collaborate and engage in professional development opportunities that focus on improving the health and wellness of the entire school community, especially students, and to support them in their journey to academic achievement and leading healthy and productive lives. The agenda for the 2024 School Wellness Summit will be on the Whole Learner – Whole School, Whole Child, Whole Community wellness, mindfulness, staff wellness, wellness policy, as well as highlighting school wellness champions.

Presenters: Dr. Susan Salcido, Santa Barbara County Superintendent of Schools; Farrah Northcott, Director, Healthy SBCSS San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools; Live Well Schools; Maryam Shayegh, Los Angeles County Office of Education Nutrition and Wellness Coordinator; Dareen Khatib and Kat Satterley, Orange County Department of Education; Suzanne Grimmesey PIO/Chief of Strategy and Community Engagement, Santa Barbara County Department of Behavioral Wellness and local wellness champions.
