DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County\, Teens Love Cooking (TLC) is an 8-week program that provides teens (grades 7-12) with the opportunity to become competent\, independent and kitchen-savvy by teaching them valuable kitchen and cooking skills. TLC is designed to improve knowledge of food\, nutrition and food preparation techniques through an integrated nutrition and culinary curriculum. The courses are held at Central Library and participants must have a signed permission slip to participate. Registration is required and is for the full 8-week course.
