DESCRIPTION:Healing Justice Santa Barbara is proud to present the Second Annual Black is Beautiful Gala\, a powerful celebration of Black/African American beauty\, culture\, and community in Santa Barbara County. This year’s theme\, “Black Excellence Through the Decades\,” honors the extraordinary cultural contributions of Black/African American individuals to our nation’s history and heritage. \nJoin us for an inspiring evening that highlights the richness of Black culture through fashion\, art\, music\, media\, and more. From legendary style icons and visionary artists to trailblazing musicians and cultural trendsetters\, we will celebrate the creativity\, brilliance\, and diversity of Black cultural achievements that have shaped and enriched our society. \nEnjoy live performances\, a keynote speaker\, a curated auction\, and youth and community awards honoring Black excellence. The evening includes dinner\, dessert\, and dancing with a live band\, all in a space that affirms and celebrates Black joy. Proceeds from the Gala support Healing Justice Santa Barbara’s mission to build safe\, empowering spaces for Black/African American community members throughout Santa Barbara County.
