DESCRIPTION:Corazón Latino is a non-profit dedicated to educating\, empowering\, and supporting the Latinx and underserved communities of the Central Coast. Our mission is to promote emotional well-being\, share resources\, foster civic engagement\, and provide culturally responsive support to the Latinx community. Our Grupos de Apoyo (Mental Health Support Groups) are our core program\, which are led by trained Community Health Workers/Promotores (CHW/Ps) who provide mental health support in Spanish. During the groups we reduce stigma\, teach coping skills (through the Emotional CPR suicide-prevention model)\, connect participants to community resources\, and host presentations from local organizations. Support groups are offered in Santa Maria\, Lompoc\, and on Zoom. \nZOOM: \n\nWHEN: 4th Wednesday of every month from 5:30pm-7:30pm\nWHERE: Virtual on ZOOM\nRSVP: Register here >>\nCONTACT: Maria at 805-621-0666\n\nServicios Bilingues (they are offered completely in Spanish at the moment) Parents & Caregivers as well as ages 18-25 are our main age groups.
