SUMMARY:Nature Group Therapy for Teen Girls
DESCRIPTION:A Nature Therapy Group for girls to explore their strengths and power for camaraderie and support\, both with each other and with the earth. This weekend group provides a space to process\, de-compress\, explore\, and connect with what ever is coming up for each group member and be a supportive witness. In addition\, getting to honor the unique needs of each season and what we can learn from mother earth’s cyclical nature. \nThe female nervous system is primed for connection\, yet we live in an increasingly isolated society. Oxytocin is our primary regulator for the female nervous system\, and being in community and nature\, support the production of this impactful hormone. Puberty is an ideal time to learn how we can better support our own nervous system and hormone production\, while supporting our peers as well. \nYour budding teen will get the opportunity to lead\, connect\, speak-up\, disagree\, and learn important self-advocacy skills as they help shape the group and our experience together.

SUMMARY:VIRTUAL Speaker Series: The Parent They Come To - Fusion Academy
DESCRIPTION:Fusion Academy is hosting a virtual speaker event with a certified parenting coach! The Parent They Come To: How to Change the Conversation so Your Teen is Open to Your Guidance will show parents practical tools to reduce conflict\, build trust\, and become the parent their teen comes to when it matters most. Raising a teenager can sometimes feel like every conversation turns into a power struggle or leaves you feeling disconnected. Parents try to help\, but their advice often leads teens to shut down rather than open up. In this talk\, parenting coach Jeanine Mouchawar explains why that happens and introduces a simple framework called Connect Before Correct that helps parents change the conversation. Zoom link will be provided upon registration. \n\nWHEN: Friday\, June 5th from 12:00pm-1:00pm\nWHERE: Virtual on ZOOM\nRSVP: Registration required >>\nCOST: $0\nCONTACT: Email santabarbara@fusionacademy.com or call 805-292-9658
