SUMMARY:Parent Allies - LGBTQIA+ Parent Support Group [hybrid]
DESCRIPTION:This group focuses on providing gender affirming and sex positive support\, while holding an affirming space for parents and care-givers. DESCRIPTION:This one-day\, in-person workshop brings together parents\, teachers\, school administrators\, providers\, and community members in Santa Barbara County to explore how we can better support neurodiverse students and their families. \nResource Tables showcasing inclusive supports and services available in Santa Barbara County \nParticipants will explore inclusive practices\, tools for advocacy\, and strategies for collaboration that strengthen the bridges between schools\, families\, and community resources. With a special focus on language\, education\, and neurodiversity\, the workshop aims to equip both educators and caregivers with a shared toolbox of supportive language and practices that affirm student identity and build resilience.
