SUMMARY:Homework Help Tutor Training - Santa Barbara Public Library
DESCRIPTION:Teens and Adults\, become a Homework Help Volunteer! Attend a one-hour training session to learn to assist students ages 6 – 11 with assignments in math\, social studies\, writing\, and/or science. As a Homework Help volunteer you\, along with other staff and volunteers\, will provide guidance on how to solve problems or find answers at once-per-week group tutoring sessions. \nVolunteers must attend the one-hour tutor training session and commit to tutoring for one full school year on Tuesdays at Central Library. There are currently two tutor-training sessions planned on October 13 and October 17. Homework Help sessions will be scheduled once enough volunteers have been trained. \nTeens ages 14+ and adults are encouraged to apply.
