DESCRIPTION:Join our FREE Youth Mental Health First Aid training on SEPTEMBER 13 to learn how to recognize the signs of a mental health or substance use challenge in youth\, and how to respond with confidence and care. \n**Registration closes August 20th** \nDETAILS:  \n• Saturday\, September 13 | 9am–2pm | On Zoom \n• 6.5 hours (blended format: 2-hour self-paced + 4.5-hour Zoom) \nBoth Mental Health First Aid & QPR training empower teens\, parents\, educators\, first responders\, and other caring adults with tools and strategies to create a safe and caring community. The #1 protective factor in youth mental health is a trusted adult. You can be that trusted adult who is trained with skills and knowledge about what to do and what to say. Participants learn how to recognize\, understand and respond appropriately to signs of mental health challenges of varying intensity\, as well as substance use disorders.
